The short version
- The game's code, story, procedural art and score are ours. A few pieces come from generous creators under open licences, listed here.
- The game's tabletop-style rules use the SRD 5.1 under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
- The Ember Depths is independent and not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.

System Reference Document 5.1
This work includes material taken from the System Reference Document 5.1 (“SRD 5.1”) by Wizards of the Coast LLC and available at https://dnd.wizards.com/resources/systems-reference-document. The SRD 5.1 is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode.
We adapted the SRD's rules for a real-time action game (changes were made). Everything else in the game, including its world, story, characters and names, is original.
The Ember Depths is an independent game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Wizards of the Coast LLC. Its rules material comes only from the SRD 5.1 or is original.

The fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 and may be used, studied, modified and redistributed freely under that licence; they are bundled, not sold. Emoji pictures are drawn by your own device's emoji font.
Music
The title, dungeon, boss, arena and Classic town music, and all sound effects, are generated by the game (by Emptyset Media). Hearthold's recorded tracks:
